Dear Friends,
At the same orphanage at Kasih Iklas Vitos, we came across this
little girl who developed tumour on her lower back and serious infections on
both her legs. She needed urgent medical attention but was unable to afford
one, thus leading to the deterioration of her condition.
These pictures tugged at our heartstrings and we were determined
to help her. Fortunately for us (and the little girl), our Lions Batam friend
and a few kind-hearted souls from Singapore answered our prayers. Even though
this is a Christian-run home, not all kids are of this faith and majority are
abandoned children. This goes to prove
that charity knows no boundaries!
On 10 May 2012, we received an update that this little girl has
been taken to a specialist for a review on her condition. We will continue to
keep everyone posted on her developments and in the meantime a little prayer
for her speedy recovery would be much appreciated.
